GATESVILLE, Texas (Scripps News Corpus Christi)– The female founded guilty of eliminating vocalist Selena Quintanilla-Pérez has actually declared parole.

Yolanda Saldívar shot and eliminated 23-year-old Quintanilla-Pérez at a Days Inn hotel in Corpus Christi, Texas, on Mar. 31, 1995. Saldívar, who was the supervisor of the vocalist’s fan club and clothes shops, killed Quintanilla-Pérez after the vocalist found she had actually embezzled cash, reported USA Today.
She was founded guilty of first-degree murder and sentenced to life in jail with the possibility of parole after 30 years, according to NBC News.
According to the Texas Department of Corrections, the parole procedure evaluation is currently underway for the 64-year-old Saldívar. She will be qualified for parole on March 30.
Saldívar is presently being held at the Patrick L. O’Daniel Unit in Gatesville, Texas.
The procedure starts with Saldívar’s file being evaluated for all suitable files, consisting of letters of assistance and demonstration. An Institutional Parole Officer will then examine Saldivar’s file and interview her before preparing a case summary for the Board ballot panel. The Board will vote on the case simply prior to March 30.
